May - June 06 - Corroborrie Bilabong

Departing King Ash Bay we had 12 days before out flights back to Thailand. Toured 1,180k's to Darwin, checked out the storage facilities, then headed bush again to Corroborrie Bilabong, 12ok's east of Darwin.

Due to the exceptional wet season we were able to get access to the Mary River system.

Our camp site, only one other camper during our week here.

1st time we have had to use the trailer, and proberbly could have done without it here, but a good exercise to put it all together before I forgot how!

Sue's not so sure about this!

Okay! that's close enough!

Wild pigs!

Flood height!

In action with the fly rod!

Look closely to find the croc!

Channel to Mary River system.

More flood height, it's sure flat out here!

Fire attendant, the damper's nearly ready!

Air drying!

New species - Tarpon or Ox Eyed Herring!

Barra! released to grow!

Another new species - Saratoga, they sure stink!

Moon rise, packed and ready to go!

As soon as we where within phone range an SMS appeared. The floks we were going to meet 8 weeks earlier were in Darwin. Finally caught up. The other folks heading to the Gibb River and further afield.

All wrapped and locked for three months!

Till our next tour - Cheers from us both>
